How to install 64 bit flash player 10.3 in ubuntu to work with mozilla firefox

After installing 64 bit ubuntu , i was happy with the speed , but mozilla 4  reported no flash plugin , so after a little browsing ,found out only beta version of  64 bit flash player is available with bad installation instructions,

steps to install 64 bit flash player for linux and mozilla 4

1.Download 64 bit adobe flash player from adobe labs here
            dlDownload plug-in for 64-bit Linux (TAR.GZ, 4.1 MB)

2.Extract the libflashplayer.so to a temporary directory

3.copy the libflashplayer.so from that directory to
        /usr/lib64/firefox-4.0/plugins
4. you might have to need supervisory privileges to do so , hint : use sudo

          for eg.
                              goto /usr/lib64/firefox-4.0/plugins in terminal

                                cd /usr/lib64/firefox-4.0/plugins
        then  run

                            sudo cp ~/Downloads/libflashplayer.so .

NOTE : here   i have extracted the downloaded compressed file to ~/Downloads , change it if u downloaded to other directory.

5. finally to check it , type about:plugins

you should see something like :

Shockwave Flash

File: libflashplayer.so
Version:
Shockwave Flash 10.3 d162
MIME Type Description Suffixes
application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf
application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl

Thats it , you have installed 64 bit  flash ,Enjoy!
